- Graduated from Waupaca High School in 1972 (Waupaca, Wisconsin)

- Graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College, 1976 with B.A. in Pastoral Studies/Evangelism and minor in History

- Ordained to the Gospel ministry June 18, 1977

- Since graduation has completed two courses on Biblical Counseling
