Notice of Insurance Disclaimer:

Shepherd's Bethel staff and Board of Directors considers
it a privilege to serve God's children with rent-free
housing. We however, being a faith supported
organization, cannot afford separate insurance policies for
our existing homes.

No blanket policy exists that would cover your private
property or personal injury in case of fire, theft, storm
damage, etc. You are free to try to ascertain renters
insurance, or any other type that you feel would meet
your family's needs.

We cannot be responsible for any loss of personal
property, life, or injury while you are with us.

Thank you for your understanding.

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe in the Scriptures of the old and new Testaments, as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21, 1 Peter 1:12, Hebrews 1:1, 1 John 1:15)

  1. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 10:30, Matthew 28:19)

  1. We believe in God the Father, perfect in Holiness, infinite in Wisdom, measureless in Power.  We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:6, Psalm 145:17, 1 John 3:20, Matthew 19:26, Revelation 19:6, John 16:27, Titus 3:5, Psalm 65:2, Acts 12:5-11, 1 John 4:9, Romans 5:6-8)

  1. We believe in Jesus Christ; the eternal and only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, of a virgin birth, sinless in His life, making atonement for the sins of the world, by shedding His blood at His death on Calvary.  We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and visible bodily (pre-tribulational, pre-millennial) return (that blessed hope), to the world according to His promise.  (John 1:1-3, John 1:14, Matthew 1:20, Matthew 1:23, 2 Corinthians 5:15, Mark 16:6, Romans 3:25-26, Luke 24:39, John 20:17, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3)

  1. We believe in God the Holy Spirit who cam forth to convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ. (John 16:11, John 3:5, Ephesians 3:6, John 14:16-18)

  1. We believe that tongues, prophesy, and knowledge mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:13-14 are not in the church today according to 1 Corinthians 13:8.  We believe therefore that the Charismatic movement is unscriptural and places undue emphasis on the Charismatic gifts.  We believe that their position on the gifts of tongues and healings are unfounded in the Scripture. (1 Corinthians 14:36-40)

  1. We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word, and deed. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 5:12, Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:23)

  1. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures; as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. (Romans 3:24, 5:6-11)

  1. We believe that all who receive by grace through faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12)

  1. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the save, and the everlasting punishment of the lost. (2 Corinthians 4:14, Luke 14:14, Acts 24:15, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:12, Romans 2:9)

  1. We believe there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, that man Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 2:5)

  1. We believe in the eternal salvation of the believer according to John 6:37-40, John 10:28-29, and Romans 8:35-39; and the earnest or witness of salvation in the changed life of the believer according to Ephesians 1:13-14, and 2 Corinthians 5:17.

  1. We believe in a literal Hell where the lost will burn forever and a literal Heaven, where the saved will live in the presence of God forever. (Mark 9:43-48, 2 Corinthians 5:1, Philippians 3:20-21, 1 Thessalonians 4:17)
